Huntley church to host 'Bible 101' seminar Sept. 24
Have you ever wondered what's behind the readings on Sunday morning?
Explore and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Bible at the upcoming "Bible 101" adult education seminar with the Rev. Bill Waxenberg. It will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main St. in Huntley.
"Bible 101" will explore where the Bible comes from, what it's supposed to do, what it doesn't do, and why it's often so challenging to understand.
"Our hope is that by having this opportunity to gain a better knowledge on the most important book in the world," said Pastor Waxenberg, "we will learn and appreciate how the readings can strengthen our faith and truly speak to us on a deeper level."
Participants are requested to bring their own sack lunch. Advanced registration is required. Sign up online at www.bit.ly/SOTPBible101.
