Bagpipes & Bonfire will blaze with glory on Sept. 25

Lake Forest Open Lands Association (LFOLA) is pleased to host Bagpipes & Bonfire on Sunday, Sept. 25; 4-7 PM at picturesque Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve in Lake Forest, IL.

Elizabeth and Shelby Pruett will chair this one-of-a-kind multigenerational family event. Bagpipes & Bonfire attracts over 1,700 attendees and serves as Lake Forest Open Lands' annual fundraiser. Scottish bagpipes, Highland athletes, Highland dancers, fly casting, live music, and an Amazing Grace Bagpipe performance at dusk culminates with the lighting of the bonfire.

"We're honored and delighted to be chairing Bagpipes," states Elizabeth Pruett.

Back by popular demand is the apple launcher and a donut truck.

"There will be games for all ages with a variety of support levels to attend," adds Shelby. Northern Trust is once again, the Presenting sponsor.

Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve's 50 acre pastural setting will act as the backdrop for the event rain or shine. Proceeds from Bagpipes & Bonfire support LFOLA's land conservation efforts encompassing over 900 acres and their environmental programming. Lake Forest Open Lands' education and community outreach programs have educated over 75,000 children to date.

Corporate partners: Northern Trust, PCA, Knauz, NorthShore Gas and Price Insurance. JWC Media and Forest & Bluff Magazine is the exclusive media sponsor.
