Free family activities await at 3 Schaumburg parks

Get acquainted with your neighborhood park at Schaumburg Park District's Pick A Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at three different parks in Schaumburg.

At Campanelli Park, 1024 W. Weathersfield Way, a Jungle Bus, a full-sized school bus that has been converted into a mobile gymnastics facility, will be featured.

At Brandenberg Park, 600 N. Knollwood Drive, play Minute to Win It games.

At Freedom Park, 800 S. Pinehurst Lane, create a fall-inspired nature craft.

"We have been hosting this event every season and it has been a great way to bring awareness to different parks," said Andrea Weismantel, supervisor of parties, rentals and special events. "Each park will feature a fun activity for the whole family to enjoy."
