Wheeling Park District hosts International Fest

On Sunday, Aug. 14, the Wheeling Park District hosted International Festival 2022 at Heritage Park Performance Pavilion.

Hundreds of families and friends gathered to celebrate the diversity of the Wheeling community with a variety of cultural entertainment from 15 different performers from the Chicago area featuring music, dance, songs and costumes from all around the world.

Attendees had the opportunity to visit more than 20 booths hosted by community organizations that provided information about their respective services/programs and engaged attendees with hands-on learning opportunities about the many nationalities present in the Wheeling community.

Those in attendance were also treated to authentic food provided by local favorites Mario's Cart, Flyin Hawaiian, El Famous Burrito, Billy Bricks and Jester's Food Truck.

This event was made possible thanks, in part, to the support of Inland Bank, Rise N Dine, PlayGround Games, Power Home Remodeling, Alianza Hispana, Cinergy Entertainment, and Veronica Roman from State Farm.
