Hey Nonny Debuts Its Own Line of Vodka

With an eye toward originality, the team at Hey Nonny has worked with a local distillery to introduce a private-label brand of vodka. The Nonny Vodka is now available at the Arlington Heights bistro and music venue.

"We love to delight our dining clientele with creative menu options, and as many of our patrons also like vodka as their drink of choice, we wanted to up our game there a bit, too," said co-owner Chip Brooks. "It was something we have wanted to do for some time, but went slowly until we found a version that met our standards."

The new vodka is made from corn and is distilled in a sophisticated eight-column medical grade still. Once distilled, it is filtered, or "polished," twelve times through four different materials - a proprietary process that Brooks and team claim makes it one of the smoothest vodkas in the world.

"We've done a lot of testing and had some of our loyal patrons in on the project," Brooks said. "We think we have identified just the right process and so far, most who have tried it agree."

Brooks said that the process led them to a small family-owned distillery in the area which not only produced the right product, but was good to work with.

"At Hey Nonny we pride ourselves on being a neighborhood place with a very broad reach. While we bring in national touring musical acts, we also honor the Chicago-area contributions to music. We do the same with our food and drink, monitoring top dining trends while serving the freshest ingredients that we can find."

Nonny Vodka is now available at Hey Nonny, 10 S. Vail in Arlington Heights.
