Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® Hosts Senior Expo

The Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® will host a free senior expo, open to the public, on August 20. The event is intended to help older adults and their loved ones learn about how to age well, with a specific focus on housing topics.

"Figuring out where and how to live is a critically important part of aging well," Mainstreet President John LeTourneau said. "It's never too early to start planning ahead, and we want to be a resource to help older adults and their loved ones do just that."

The in-person Senior Expo event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palos Heights Rec Center at 6601 W. 127th St. in Palos Heights, Illinois.

The Expo will feature seminars on topics such as "Evaluating your Desire to Age in Place," "Understanding and Appealing Property Taxes," and "Having the 'Housing Talk' With an Older Adult." Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors offering helpful services and resources. The full schedule can be found here and attendees should register via Eventbrite.
