Domenic Munaretto of Barrington wins Gold in Rome
Domenic Munaretto, team USA, of Barrington Ill, a graduate of Grove Junior High Prairie Campus, was awarded the gold medal for his 1st place win over Bashir Verdiyev of Azerbaijan July 31st in Rome Italy.
The final score of 2-0 marks the 3rd time in a row team USA won the 45kg weight division in freestyle. Along with Domenic the USA mens freestyle squad U17 will bring home a record setting 8 medals (previous high was 7 in 2016).
