Apicella credited "the network of talented and passionate lawyers and judges - people that I have learned from, collaborated, commiserated, and celebrated with. I have developed referral relationships, partners and lifelong friends as a result of this bar association."
He also stressed that the organization thrives through the commitment of its volunteer member attorneys, and that the Attorney Referral Service ("ARS") will be his pet project as he works to get a revamped program designed to both serve the public and provide increased value to NWSBA members by connecting persons or entities in need of legal representation with attorneys who practice in that particular area of law up and running during his term.
Apicella also presented The President's Award to Jay A. Andrew one of his law partners who was essential in getting him involved with the NWSBA. Jay served the Northwest Suburban Bar Association in a variety of capacities from 2000 through 2018 progressing from Committee Chairman to Board Member to Executive Committee Officer to President.
"This was a great night for our Association. We raised money for a good cause and I am looking forward to serving our Association as its President," stated Apicella.
