Bloomingdale's Chicago Paint & Coatings Association celebrates its 135th anniversary

The Chicago Paint & Coatings Association in Bloomingdale, Illinois has been a vital resource to the paint and coatings industry for the past 135 years.

"CPCA members are leaders within the Coatings Manufacturing Industry. In fact, Chicago has become a national center for coatings innovation and distribution. For more than 135 years, the industry has grown and prospered, overcoming market challenges - including the COVID-19 pandemic - which has disrupted national and international supply chains. Yet, CPCA adapts, and even thrives in today's domestic and international chemical market, exemplifying CPCA's commitment to the industry," according to CPCA board member Roland Chidley.

At the heart of the association is industry education, including partnering with the Chicago Society for Coatings Technology, to award scholarships and sponsor continuing education, as well as providing a variety of speakers and topics from business and economics to industry news and trends.

The Chicago Paint & Coatings Association is also committed to serving the local community with events such as "Paint a Brighter Chicago" and "Chicago's Finest Painted Ladies and Her Court," both programs reinforce its commitment to the industry and demonstrates that paint benefits society and those who make and sell it contribute to the quality of life.

"This effort is supported by our variety of programs and events, which create an opportunity to network and socially engage with industry peers," according to Chidley.
