Hersey High School hosts Chicagoland Band Festival April 9th

Following a cancelled festival in 2020 and a virtual festival in 2021, John Hersey High School is thrilled to host the fully open Chicagoland Invitational Concert Band Festival on Saturday, April 9th. With 2,800 attendees throughout the day, the festival serves as the high-achieving band program's biggest fundraiser. From 10am to 10pm, three performance stages will showcase 45 high school and 3 middle school bands from Illinois, who will receive high quality feedback from esteemed clinicians recognized on the state and national level. Our guest band, the Illinois State University Wind Symphony, will perform at 2:50pm under the direction of Dr. Anthony C. Marinello. The Hersey Concert and Symphonic Bands will perform at 10am and 9pm respectively. Tickets are available at the door: $15 for Adults ($12 after 6PM) and $7 for Students and Seniors. Children 5 and under are free. A Family Pass is $32 for 2 adults and 2 children. Concessions will be available all day. Information including performance schedules is available under the Chicagoland Festival tab on the herseyband.com website. Students and directors alike look forward to this festival every year and are excited to perform for a live audience.
