The Gardner School of Glenview-Northbrook Earns National Quality Accreditation from NAEYC
The Gardner School of Glenview-Northbrook, a preschool for children ages six weeks through five years old, has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) - the world's oldest and largest organization of early childhood professionals.
NAEYC accreditation requires applicants to successfully meet or exceed ten standards for high-quality early childhood education, including a safe and healthy environment for children, well-trained teachers, and a goal-oriented curriculum that addresses all aspects of child development. Following accreditation, all programs are subject to random, unannounced visits by assessors to ensure that the programs continue to meet these standards.
Fewer than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve NAEYC Accreditation. The Gardner School of Glenview-Northbrook is one of only three accredited programs in Glenview-Northbrook. The school's West Loop campus also received accreditation earlier this year.
"We are incredibly grateful for all of our dedicated teachers and administrators at our Glenview-Northbrook campus for their commitment to excellence in education," said Tammy Robinson, Chief Operating Officer at The Gardner School. "NAEYC accreditation requires our schools to meet or exceed the most rigorous standards in our industry. We are thrilled that our Glenview-Northbrook campus is being recognized among the most elite early childhood education programs in the nation."
Founded in 2014, The Gardner School is an academically-focused preschool, offering year-round full- and part-time childcare with early childhood education programs. With a full suite of on-site enrichment classes, a ten-week summer camp program, Camp Gardner, and highly qualified lead preschool teachers, The Gardner School of Glenview-Northbrook facilitates a rich learning environment that stimulates children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
In the 30 years since NAEYC Accreditation was established, it has become a widely recognized sign of high-quality early childhood education. NAEYC currently accredits approximately 7,000 programs nationwide.
