Hanover Township to host spring holiday events

Hanover Township is hosting two free events on Saturday, April 9, for youth to enjoy spring holiday fun. Registration is not required for both events.

Beginning at 11a.m., residents can visit the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park, for the Township's Spring Thing. Kids will be able to make holiday crafts, receive a candy bag and have the opportunity to take a picture with the Bunny. For questions, please call the community center at (630) 540-9085.

The Hoppin' for Hanover Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1p.m., at the Township's Izaak Walton Youth Center, 899 Jay St., Elgin. Participants are asked to bring their own bag or basket. The egg hunt schedule includes:

Ages 2-4: 1- 2 p.m.

Ages 5-7: 2- 3 p.m.

Ages 8-10: 3-4 p.m.

Games, pictures with the Bunny and crafts will be offered during each group. For questions, please call the Township at (630) 483-5799.
