Arlington Heights Community Concert Band Seeking Musicians
The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band is seeking area musicians to join the band. The band performs four indoor concerts at Forest View Education Center in Arlington Heights as well as outdoor summer concerts per concert season. The recent October 24th concert was well attended, and the upcoming holiday concert has been standing room only. Under the direction of the band's new conductor, Pietro Pisello, a wide variety of music is played such as marches, show tunes, light classical and contemporary compositions. Membership is open to anyone age 14 and older who has experience playing a musical instrument. No audition is required, and seat placement is at the conductor's discretion. Band members have varied skill levels from professional musicians to former high school and college musicians. No need to worry if you are "good enough" to join as members support each other without hesitation. The band is especially looking for musicians who play saxophone and clarinet, but any musician is welcome.
Weekly rehearsals are from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. Please bring your instrument and try us out at rehearsal. Our next concert is Sunday December 19th, 2021, at 3P.M. and the next two are February 27, 2022 and April 24, 2022.
