Doctor Who community reunites Nov. 26 at Chicago TARDIS

"Doctor Who" fans will soon reunite in Lombard for the return of Chicago TARDIS - the Midwest's largest Doctor Who event created by fans, for fans.

The convention runs on Thanksgiving weekend from Nov. 26-28 at the Westin Chicago Lombard, 70 Yorktown Center. This will be the first time attendees return to Chicago TARDIS in two years, with the 2020 event being held virtually via streaming on Facebook and YouTube.

The convention has been a staple of the "Doctor Who" community in the Chicago area since 2000. Each year, Whovians (those who belong to the "Doctor Who" fandom) of all ages gather for autographs, photographs, and meet and greets with actors and behind-the-scenes people from the worlds of "Doctor Who," a costume contest, children's programming, the famous Britrock Karaoke Party, the Don't Blink Dance Party, discussion panels, workshops, dealers room, artist alley, and a whole hallway of full-sized Daleks (affectionately referred to as Dalek Alley).

Programming at the convention runs from morning until late into the night. It's the perfect place to get away for a weekend, like you might with the Doctor into time and space.

General admission weekend pass tickets are $95, $47 for kids, age 6-12. One-day tickets are: $40, $20 for Friday and Sunday; $50, $25 for Saturday. Online fees apply.
