Lexington Homes Reaches 75% Sold at Parkside of Glenview, Welcomes First Move-Ins to Luxury Single-Family Home Community

Chicago-based Lexington Homes has reached the 75% sold milestone at Parkside of Glenview, a new community of 29 single-family homes in north-suburban Glenview, Ill. All homes at the maintenance-free community include first-floor primary suites.

Located near the intersection of Willow and Landwehr roads, Parkside of Glenview offers four floor plans, including three designs with a two-story layout and one ranch plan. Each home offers a choice of exterior architectural styles, including Craftsman, European, Farmhouse and Shingle. Base-priced from $924,990, homes measure 2,663 to 3,676 square feet and have three bedrooms, 2½ baths, a flex room, patio, basement and attached front-loading two-car garage. Select two-story plans also include a loft and study, and a fourth bedroom can be added to each home, as can extended and covered back patios.

"Parkside of Glenview has really filled a need in Chicago's North Shore with buyers who are looking for spacious, yet maintenance-free luxury homes with thoughtfully designed floor plans that allow them to easily work, learn and play from home, especially as we continue to navigate the pandemic," said Jeff Benach, principal of Lexington Homes. "And with only a handful of homes left, now is the ideal time for buyers to still be able to take advantage of low mortgage rates and have their pick of home site location. Also, now that our first homes are completed and residents have begun to move in, buyers can see the community come to life."

Benach added that inventory remains tight in the area, particularly for new-construction homes like these with such a deep and stylish selection of included finishes and options for personalization. Among the community's most popular standard features have been its expansive open-concept main living areas, high-end kitchen appliances with smart functions, dedicated areas for a coffee bar, computer niches, large walk-in pantries and first-floor primary suites. When it comes to options, Benach noted that many buyers have added a fourth bedroom with en suite bath and chosen a covered rear patio.

"Due to the pandemic, buyers have definitely placed a higher importance on spending time outdoors, so it's not surprising that half of our buyers have added a covered patio," Benach said. "That can be a real game-changer in cold weather as the covered patio not only can protect you from the elements, but the extended version also provides plenty of space for a firepit so you can make the most of the patio year-round."

Two decorated models are available for touring at Parkside of Glenview. Showcasing a European architectural exterior, the Sonoma model measures 3,001 square feet and has three bedrooms, 2½ baths, a separate dining room, family room, den, loft and large, unfinished basement with rough-in plumbing. It is base-priced from $979,990.

The model shows the den decorated as a home office and a dining room that connects to the kitchen via a large butler's pantry with built-in wine cooler and a walk-in storage pantry with shelving. Toward the back of the home is an open-concept kitchen, breakfast nook and family room with a two-story gas fireplace. The kitchen features an oversized island, which can seat five to six people; white designer cabinetry with soft-close doors and drawers; Thermador, Bosch and Broan appliances (including a double oven and pot filler above cooktop); Kohler faucets; and quartz countertops.

Adjacent to the family room is the primary bedroom suite, which includes two walk-in closets and large spa-like bath with separate quartz-topped vanities; a soaking tub; oversized walk-in shower with three body jets, a rain shower, wall-mounted shower head and sitting bench; a water closet; and linen closet.

Two secondary bedrooms are located upstairs, as is a full hall bath, loft and adjacent flex room, which can serve as a play area, home office or TV and gaming area.

The second model shows the Burgundy floor plan in the Shingle architectural style, and has three bedrooms, 2½ baths, a separate dining room, family room, den, loft and large, unfinished basement with rough-in plumbing. This home measures 3,535 square feet and is base-priced from $1,084,990.

To the right of the model's foyer is a den, which is shown with French doors and a transom window. Spanning the back of the home is the kitchen that opens to both a breakfast nook with a built-in buffet and the family room, which has a modern two-story gas fireplace. Off the family room is an optional covered patio.

The primary bedroom suite features a large L-shaped walk-in closet and a spa bath, which includes separate quart-topped vanities; a soaking tub; large walk-in shower with handheld and wall-mounted jets, a Chevron tile surround and sitting bench; a private water closet; and linen closet. The first floor also includes an additional coat closet off the attached two-car garage, plus a drop zone with cubbies for organizing backpacks and sports gear. A large laundry room with utility sink and storage are conveniently located in this area as well.

Upstairs is an oversized loft and two secondary bedrooms with walk-in closets as well as a full hall bath. Buyers can opt to add a bonus room to this level.

Additional features that come with all homes at Parkside at Glenview are hardwood flooring in main first-floor living areas; ceramic tile and Kohler fixtures in baths; oak staircases and choice of railings; and full, unfinished deep-pour basements. Home exteriors feature architectural detailing like gabled rooflines and HardiePlank siding in modern tones of grays, blues and browns, along with stone and cedar trim.

Parkside of Glenview is located near The Glen, a 1,000-acre mixed-use site with shopping and dining; a grocery store; post office; medical facilities; office space; a Metra station; the Kohl's Children's Museum; and a number of recreational areas, including two golf courses. Located just east of Interstate 294, the community is near NorthShore Glenbrook Hospital and is served by the highly rated District 31 school district, as well as Glenbrook South High School.
