Bears' Goldman misses practice with injury
Bears defensive tackle Eddie Goldman did not practice Wednesday. The team released its first official injury report of the season, and Goldman was listed with a "knee/ankle" injury.
NFL teams are required to release injury reports Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before Sunday games. The Bears open the season Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams in California.
Goldman opted out of the entire 2020 season. He returned to Halas Hall in Lake Forest for training camp in July, but then sat out about 10 days in August on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Goldman played in only one of the Bears' three preseason games.
Bears head coach Matt Nagy said last week that he wouldn't address injuries until the team was required to release its first injury report.
Tight end Jimmy Graham was the only other player who did not practice Wednesday. Graham was given an extra day of rest and doesn't have an injury.
Linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (shoulder), linebacker Khalil Mack (groin), receiver Darnell Mooney (back) and linebacker Robert Quinn (back) were all listed as limited in Wednesday's practice.
