Golf outing benefits Rotary Club, special recreation foundation

Join the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights and Special Leisure Services Foundation for the 29th annual Arlington Classic Golf Outing on Thursday, Sept. 9, at Arlington Lakes Golf Club, 1211 S. New Wilke Road, Arlington Heights.

This event benefits both SLSF and the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights to support various initiatives in the community.

The day is planned to begin with a shotgun start at noon, with a boxed lunch followed by a buffet dinner, raffles and a program.

Proceeds from this annual collaborative event are shared by SLSF, the fundraising arm of Northwest Special Recreation Association and The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights.

SLSF dollars provide inclusion, scholarships, accessible vehicles, athletics and programing support for children and adults with disabilities.

The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights reinvests the monies in the community through projects designed to support literacy projects, holiday food baskets, programs for people with special needs, vocational scholarships and international exchange students.

For more information about the golf outing, contact Megan O'Brien at (847) 392-2848, ext. 267. To register, visit www.slsf.me.
