Jim Schultz named AMVET of the Year
Phillip Carpenter AMVETS Post 66 submission
James Schultz, AMVETS Post Service Officer, who is a former Vernon Hills trustee, was presented by Post Commander Kenneth Neilson with the 2020-21 Illinois AMVETS Outstanding AMVET of the Year award.
Besides this being an honor for Jim, it is also an honor for the Phillip Carpenter AMVETS Post 66.
AMVETS, which is also known as American Veterans, is the most inclusive Congressionally chartered veterans service organization dedicated to serving and representing the interests of 20 million veterans and their families.
They are veterans serving veterans since 1944.
The Phillip Carpenter Post 66 is at 700 McHenry Road, Wheeling. The building opens at noon, seven days a week. Member meetings are at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at the post. Guests are always welcome.
