Kidpreneurs showcase their business skills at the Children's Business Fair July 17

Could a 10-year-old invent the next Uber? Could you be living next door to the next Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey? Find out at the Acton Children's Business Fair at Arrow Academy, showcasing kids' entrepreneurial genius!

On Saturday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, the inaugural Acton Children's Business Fair will host young entrepreneurs on Arrow Academy's campus at 1120 E. Diehl Road in Naperville. This event is free and open to the public.

The 40 "Kidpreneurs," ages 6-14, participating in this year's fair have created a product or service, developed a brand, and built a marketing strategy all on their own. Their businesses will be opened for customers at this one-day marketplace. The children are responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers.

This event is sponsored by Arrow Academy in Naperville, the Acton Academy network, the Acton School of Business, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers, who all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

Entrepreneurial education is an important part of the curriculum at Arrow Academy, Naperville's own Acton Academy. Arrow Academy is the area's newest private school, offering an innovative approach to education. The Montessori-inspired school is designed to be a "21st century one-room schoolhouse" utilizing mixed-age studios, personalized learning plans, instructional technology, mastery learning, and character and leadership education.

"Today's youth are tomorrow's business innovators and leaders. The Children's Business Fair gives students the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers," said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business, one of the sponsors of the fair.

Arrow Academy is a private PreK-8 Montessori-inspired school in Naperville. Arrow Academy is registered with the Illinois State Board of Education and accredited by the International Association of Learner Driven Schools. The school is offering three programs for the 2021-2022 school year - a lower elementary program, an upper elementary program, and a middle school.

Arrow Academy will open a high school program as learners grow.
