Saint Viator Students Earn Perfect Score on the ACT

Saint Viator High School students Camille Martinez and Anthony Pluta received perfect scores on their ACT exams, something only one-tenth of one percent of students achieve. These two most recent perfect scores bring the total number of juniors who scored a 36 on this year's ACT to four - Michael Schumacher and Christopher Rapala did so earlier this year.

"It's a testament to our school, teachers, and rigorous curriculum that our students are performing so well on their ACTs," said Saint Viator Principal Karen Love. "We have always been committed to academic excellence and it's wonderful to see that paying off for our students."

Camille, who attended Saint Emily Elementary School, excels at biology and is considering majoring in nursing or pre-med. After seeing the vital role healthcare workers play in all communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, she became interested in a career in the medical field and wants to serve others in whatever career she chooses. Camille is part of the Campus Ministry Core Team at Saint Viator and helps organize weekly prayers for morning announcements.

Anthony is a graduate of Saint Theresa Elementary School, a Boy Scout, and has played on the Varsity Baseball team for the last three years. He hopes to put his excellent calculus grades to good use by majoring in aerospace engineering in college.

"Both Camille and Anthony are exceptional students and are very involved in extracurriculars at Saint Viator," said Love. "It is always rewarding to see our students excel and look forward to promising futures. We look forward to seeing what they will accomplish during their senior year at Saint Viator and beyond."
