Three friends host massive Mount Prospect outdoor vinyl record sale May 15

Three friends Bob, Bob and Fred -each not only known to have massive record collections, but extensive knowledge of the music industry — will have a huge vinyl record sale from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at 306 W. Hiawatha Trail, in Mount Prospect, just off Route 83.

Hundreds of records of all types — rock, country, classical, movie soundtracks, comedy, jazz and records you never thought existed — will be available for purchase. CDs will also be for sale.

The public is invited to revisit the past and present by going through this unique assortment of records along with hundreds upon hundreds of new sealed vinyl.

This is about the 15th year the friends have had the record sale on Hiawatha Trail.

”It's a lot of fun to see so many people return over and over to find new treasures and to talk music,” Bob Zeliga, the coordinator of the sale said. “Everyone has a great time. It is amazing the breadth of music we have available for sale. Bob, Fred and I continue to find great stock throughout the year for folks. If you are looking for that hard to find album, we probably have it.”

The sale will go on rain or shine.
