The Schwabe Group Hosts Shredding Event

Arlington Heights residents are invited to participate in a free shredding event this Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. Sponsored by @properties The Schwabe Group, the event will take place at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road.

"As people begin their spring cleaning and finish up tax season, they may have stacks of paper around the house that they'd like to get rid of," said Schwabe Group Team Lead David Schwabe. "This is a great opportunity to securely destroy sensitive materials in particular."

Local residents can drive by Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with boxes or paper bags filled with papers to be shredded. Schwabe Group personnel will be on hand to remove items from each car and deposit them directly into bins for secure on-site shredding. There will be a limit of two bags or boxes per car.

"It will be a contact-less process," Schwabe said. "Items go from car to bin to shredder, and everything will be taken care of immediately on site."

There is no charge for the service.

"It's simply something we thought would be a nice offering for the community," Schwabe said.

The event will focus only on document shredding and will not include any other recycling services.
