Trickster Center in Schaumburg reopening March 2

The Trickster Cultural Center in Schaumburg will reopen to the public on Tuesday, March 2.

Visitors to the center at 190 S. Roselle Road can enjoy Trickster's latest exhibits: "A Place of Teaching," in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Field Museum; and "Healing From Domestic Violence - Mashkawizii," featuring photos and stories of male and female veterans who are survivors of domestic violence.

Throughout the day, guests will be treated to displays and mini workshops featuring native music, arts and crafts, storytelling and much more.

Works of local artists will be featured in the pop-up gallery and visitors can browse through the resources library to brush up on Native American history. Native jewelry, crafts, pottery, instruments, clothing, skin care and more are for sale at the gift shop, and though it is winter outside, guests can take a stroll through the native gardens section. Trickster's weekly veterans meeting will be taking place on the second floor gallery.

This event is free and open to all ages. No reservations are needed to attend.

In accordance with state COVID-19 regulations, the Trickster Cultural Center practices social distancing. All guests are required to wear masks upon entry.
