Hanover Township launches parenting education course

In an effort to provide parents with the skills and tools needed to parent effectively and develop positive relationships, the Hanover Township Department of Youth & Family Services "Parent Map" education course will begin on February 10.

"This program is great not only for parents experiencing issues with communication and behavior with youth, but also for parents simply looking for new strategies to help their kids grow in and out of school," said Nora Gonzalez, Township Clinical Manager. "While the pandemic and remote learning has thrown most of us for a loop, this is an opportunity for parents to find local solutions to the issues many families are facing."

The 6-week hybrid program will be held at the Town Hall (250 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett) and virtually from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Township therapists will conduct in person and virtual sessions in English and Spanish. Free child care will also be provided.

Please call the Township at (630) 483-5799 or email yfs@hanover-township.org to register.
