3rd Annual Black History Month Virtual Short Film Festival

The Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The Hoffman Estates (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated present the 3rd Annual Black History Month Virtual Short Film Festival. This 3-day event (Friday, February 5, 2021-Sunday, February 7, 2021) will showcase five short films to continue to spotlight bold, talented, and creative African American filmmakers.

The diverse voices of this year's filmmakers will span various themes: From a look into the complexities of relationships to a focus on grappling with the trials and tribulations of everyday life. The Short Film Festival promises to leave audiences eager to engage in spirited discussions about both the films and the inspiration behind the films.

"In honor of Black History Month, because the visual arts are such an integral part of our daily lives, we have chosen to showcase short films of up-and-coming African-American filmmakers," said Dr. Sharon Cross, president of the Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. "We are excited to have filmmakers who represent diverse voices in their films and have produced films that are memorable, enjoyable, and impactful. We invite you to help us celebrate Black History Month by joining us for this engaging event."
