Area law firm announces name change, leadership reorganization

Waltz, Palmer & Dawson, LLC, one of the suburban area's most successful law firms, has announced several key changes to begin the new year.

As of the first of this year, the firm will now be known as Navigant Law Group, LLC. As part of the change, Nichole Waltz, one of the founding partners who launched the firm in 2008 will transition to a private practice.

A Women's Business Enterprise Certified firm, Waltz, Palmer & Dawson, LLC moved to a new location at 3030 Salt Creek Lane in Arlington Heights several months ago.

"This has been a time of tremendous transition and growth for our firm," said partner Susan Dawson. Dawson leads the firm's business law practice group. "We are grateful to Nichole for the 12 years of partnership and wish her well as she moves on to her new venture."

Dawson and partner Millie Palmer selected Navigant Law Group as the new name after several rounds of discussion and review.

"It has always been our goal to provide legal advice that addresses the specific needs of each client and chart a course toward satisfaction and resolution of issues, whether it is for their business or personal needs," said Palmer, who oversees the estate planning group. "We feel that with our new structure, name and location, we are well-prepared to help clients as they seek stability in 2021 after a very difficult 2020."

In addition to Dawson and Palmer, Navigant Law Group is comprised of four additional attorneys, collectively providing services in business law, commercial real estate, employment law, wills, trusts and probate, and estate administration.

"We look forward to building the new Navigant Law Group brand on top of the foundation we have established for more than a decade as Waltz, Palmer & Dawson," Dawson said. "These are challenging times for businesses and individuals; having a trusted advisor can be crucial to successful outcomes in all legal matters. Being a female-owned practice, coupled with the extensive experience our team provides, we feel we are uniquely positioned to serve new and existing clients in 2021."
