Inside the First Folio: Virtually at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, Glencoe Public Library. The First Folio was compiled by John Heminges and Henry Condell, two of Shakespeare's fellow actors. Without it, we would not today have half of Shakespeare's plays. Peter Garino, artistic director of The Shakespeare Project of Chicago, will examine how the First Folio came to be, its importance to our knowledge and understanding of Shakespeare, and how the Folio is used by actors today in crafting their performances.
