Saint Viator High School Expands Scholarship Opportunities for Incoming Freshmen

Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights has just announced the expansion of their scholarship program for incoming freshmen. All prospective students must take an in-person placement exam at the school as part of the required application process. Previously, students scoring in the 98th and 99th percentile were eligible for scholarships. However, the program will now be expanded to include students who score in the 90th percentile or above.

"We are very pleased to extend this opportunity to prospective families and we strongly encourage all students in the area who are interested in attending Saint Viator to take the placement exam," said Saint Viator Director of Enrollment Chris Bremner. "Saint Viator attracts bright minds interested in a challenging academic environment and we want to make sure even more families are able to take advantage of our college-preparatory program."

This year's placement exam takes place on December 5 at 8:00 a.m. on the Saint Viator campus. Scholarships will be awarded as follows.

•Students scoring in the 97-99th percentile will be awarded $2,500 per year

•Students scoring in the 94-96th percentile will be awarded $1,500 per year

•Students scoring in the 90-93rd percentile will be awarded $1,000 per year

Scholarship students are required to maintain a B average and be in good standing in the Viatorian Service Learning Program in order to renew their scholarship each year.

"It's thanks to the support of our donors and the sound advice from our financial leadership that we're able to expand our scholarship program and make a Saint Viator education available to more families," said Saint Viator President Brian Liedlich. "We appreciate the support of donors, alumni and parents in making Saint Viator a place for everyone."
