Saint Viator High School to Host Drive-Thru Open House

To maintain social distancing and protect the health of both prospective students and staff, Saint Viator High School will host a drive-thru Open House this upcoming Sunday, October 25 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The school will set up tents around the campus for teams, organizations and various academic groups, and future Lions and their families are invited to drive through the grounds to gather informational materials, ask questions and pick up a gift bag.

"This is the weekend we would normally be hosting our annual open house, but COVID has prohibited us from bringing families into the building," said Chris Bremner, director of Enrollment at Saint Viator. "We didn't want to skip this important event, so we've switched gears and came up with a fun, new way to show off our spirit and welcome new families."

Throughout the event, everyone on staff will be masked to promote a safe environment. Families can drive through the campus and stop at tents specific to the student's interests to pick up information and ask questions. Prospective students should sit in the back seat behind the driver, and families are encouraged to put a sign on their car with the student's name and current school.

"Though the format of our open house is different this year, we hope it provides the same value to prospective families as in years past," said Bremner. "Our staff's enthusiasm about this unconventional event is a testament to their passion and dedication to our students."

Bremner also encouraged families to contact her at cbremner@saintviator.com to schedule a personal school tour. She is scheduling one-hour meetings after school during the coming weeks.
