Troop 37 moves outdoor event to Sunday, Sept. 13
Due to the predicted dangerous weather early this weekend, Scout Troop 37 has moved their "Lost!" Invitational outdoor event to Sunday, Sept. 13 with expanded hours from 11:30am to 3:30pm.
The planned activities including light lunch, fun outdoors skills and rescuing "survivors" will still be included on the new date.
This free outdoor event is open to children in fourth and fifth grades or in junior high school. This year's theme is the "Lost" TV show. Masks are required due to council rules.
Troop 37's mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Members of Troop 37 range in ages from 11 to 17 and come from several communities, including Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling, Roselle, Barrington and more.
The troop has a variety of activities and outings every month of the year to engage different interests, including art and movie making contest, backyard "camping" adventure with ghost stories by Zoom, caving, rock climbing and backpack hiking, charter boat fishing on Lake Michigan, canoeing and river fishing, bicycling and skiing and camping at Camp Napowan.
