Randall Oaks Zoo seeking scarecrow sponsors for Fall Festival
Help the Randall Oaks Zoo get into the fall spirit by sponsoring a scarecrow to be displayed during Fall Festival, Sept. 26 to Nov. 1.
Area businesses, organizations, and families are encouraged to take part in this sponsorship opportunity that directly helps the animals at Randall Oaks Zoo and its ongoing mission of conservation and education.
Randall Oaks Zoo provides each sponsor with the necessary materials needed to build a scarecrow - framework, pants, shirt, head, and straw. Participants supply any additional design elements to personalize their creation to make it uniquely their own.
The sponsorship deadline is Monday, Sept. 14, for anyone interested in participating.
Each sponsor is invited to be part of the "Great Scarecrow Build" where your group can come to the zoo for free to work on your creation on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20.
From Sept. 26 to Nov. 1, Randall Oaks Zoo will showcase the scarecrows around the grounds during Fall Festival.
All sponsors will receive recognition on the Randall Oaks Zoo Facebook page, October E-newsletter, and signage by your scarecrow.
To become a sponsor, contact Kath Ellinghausen at kellinghausen@dtpd.org or call (847) 551-4310.
