Help AID empower those with disabilities on Giving Tuesday

#ILGIVE is a statewide, nonpartisan movement to support nonprofit communities in Illinois by increasing individual giving. #ILGIVE is a compliment to the nationwide #GivingTuesday campaign.

All online donations to the Association of Individual Development on Tuesday, Dec. 3, will be matched dollar for dollar by the Coleman Foundation, Dunham Fund and the Simpson Family.

Coleman Foundation will match individual online gifts of $175 or more; up to $10,000 total. Dunham Fund will enter AID in a drawing with other nonprofits in the area. Twenty organizations that raised a minimum of $1,000 will receive $2,000. The Simpson Family will match up to $2,500 in online donations made on Dec. 3.

Help AID continue to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual and mental health challenges to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. Their #ILGIVE Giving Tuesday 2019 goal is $52,311.

Bookmark the #ILGIVE page now: aidcares.org/ilgive and visit on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Help make Giving Tuesday a success for AID by starting a Peer to Peer (p2p) fundraiser.

This year, they are offering two ways for p2p Giving Tuesday fundraising:

• Utilize the GiveGab platform to accept online credit card donations from friends and family.

GiveGab allows you to create a personal Web page to share your story and why you support AID.

Create your p2p #ILGIVE account today by visiting aidcares.org/ilgive and click on the "Become a Peer to Peer Fundraiser" button.

You will receive instruction on setting up your p2p webpage within one business day.

• Create a Facebook fundraiser to share with your friends family. Donors must have a Facebook account to donate to your p2p fundraiser. Visit www.facebook.com/AIDcares/fundraisers and click "+ Raise Money," set the amount you hope to raise and set the fundraising ending date to Dec. 3. Donations made through Facebook have a 0% processing fee which means all proceeds benefit AID programs!

For information on the foundations, visit the Coleman Foundation at www.colemanfoundation.org or the Dunham Fund at www.dunhamfund.org.
