Christ Lutheran Church Community Thanksgiving Service and Pie Fellowship

Giving God thanks and praise! Christ Lutheran Church, located at 41 S. Rohlwing Road in Palatine, hosted a very special Community Thanksgiving Service on Thursday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m. Other local Palatine churches participating were: First United Methodist Church, St John United Church of Christ, St. Paul United Church of Christ. The choirs from all four churches combined to make a lovely chorus of praise & thanksgiving to God, led by two Directors of Music: Vera Wisniewski, Christ Lutheran & Michael Grippo First United Methodist.

Joining Pastor Joel T. Lohafer from Christ Lutheran were: Rev. Keck Mowry, First United Methodist, Rev. David Mercer, St Paul UCC, Rev. Sandy Kolar, St John UCC, Rev. Tom Bishop from St. Theresa parish substituted for Rev. Kevin Kiefer from Thrive Vineyard Church who was unable to attend due to a recent surgery. Other churches represented by clergy and congregation were All Saints Lutheran & Fr. David Hanna of St. Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church.
