Ecker Center, Renz Center to host annual fundraiser Nov. 23

The Ecker Center for Mental Health and Renz Addiction Counseling Center are hosting their annual "Fest & Folly Gala" from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Nov. 23 at the St. Charles Country Club.

Community residents are invited to attend and enjoy gourmet fare, raffles, and an improv comedy show by GreenRoom Productions.

Raffle items include an Apple iPad Air, Ring Doorbell system, and Broadway.com gift certificate, as well as other baskets filled with restaurant gift cards, theater tickets, and local attractions. Raffle tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.com (search "Fest & Folly").

Attendees also will be able to bid on festively decorated trees donated and decorated by area businesses. Prior to the Nov. 23 event, community members can view them at the Festival of Trees at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin. The Festival of Trees display runs from Nov. 11-22.

Tickets to "Fest & Folly" are $110 per person and include a complimentary beverage, gourmet dinner, the musical stylings of Loren Golden, and an hour of improv comedy.

Event sponsors include the city of Elgin, Lauderdale Electric, Inland Bank, and the EFS Foundation. Renz and Ecker Centers are seeking additional sponsors who wish to make a difference in our community by providing a monetary or raffle basket donation.

The Ecker Center for Mental Health and Renz Addiction Counseling Center are non-profits dedicated to empowering clients in creating their highest quality of life by providing timely and effective behavioral health services. Specific services include mental health services, substance use and problem gambling treatment, and prevention programs for substance use, HIV, and other sexually transmitted diseases.
