Bravo Waukegan's 'Friend-Raiser' supports schools' music education

Bravo Waukegan's Jazz & Jokes "Friend-Raiser" took place Oct. 2, bringing together approximately 140 guests for an evening of music and comedy at the Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest.

The jazz music was performed by Waukegan High School alumni and the comedy, provided by Chicago Comedy All-Stars, featured Mike Preston, Patti Vasquez, Tim Walkoe and Rick Young, who served as the event's master of ceremonies.

Attendees also learned about Bravo's mission of supporting music education in the Waukegan public school district and learned about Forest & Found, a nonprofit community partner that runs a resale shop in Lake Forest and donates its proceeds to area nonprofits, including Bravo.
