Metropolitan areas must focus on gangs
Until major metropolitan areas eliminate criminal gangs, there will be no peace.
No amount of gun control will take guns out of the hands of gangbangers and other criminals. Organized crime, including gangs, have no vested interest in giving up their weapons and law enforcement is powerless to take on highly organized gangs in every major city in America. Failed or unrealistic expectations lead young people to achieve through violence, what they believe, should be their piece of the pie.
I have never heard a big city mayor or police official admit that criminal gangs are the problem. I have never heard a mayor or police official put forth a plan that will disarm gang members
Gang leadership knows they can outgun local police; they are able to buy weapons as easily as we buy our groceries. Take out the known gangs; only then will social programs, jobs and better schools begin to offer hope for more realistic expectations.
