Commuter parking changes begin Saturday in Mount Prospect
Construction of the Maple Street Lofts mixed-use development in downtown Mount Prospect will impact the availability of the Maple Street Commuter Parking Lot beginning Saturday, when the north half of the lot closes.
Village residents that use the Maple Street lot may park via permit or daily fee in the south portion of the Maple Street lot; Lions Park parking lot; and on the street along the north side of East Prospect Avenue.
Other options available to residents and nonresidents include the Emerson Street parking deck and between village hall and the library.
Visit www.mountprospect.org/easypark to view details and to download a parking permit application.
The availability of parking during the construction of the Maple Street deck includes 319 resident-only spaces and 333 spaces open to any commuter. The Maple Street Parking Deck is expected to open by end of summer 2020, with 285 parking spaces, 222 of which will be restricted to Mount Prospect residents.
