A Wood Dale woman was free on bond a little more than a day after being accused of stabbing a man as many as eight times.
Margaret Cyran, 45, of the 400 block of Jason Lane, is charged with one count of aggravated domestic battery. DuPage County sheriff's officials said Cyran posted 10 percent of her $75,000 bail and was released Monday morning.
According to court documents, Cyran was arrested around 2:45 a.m. Sunday after she "knowingly caused great bodily harm" to the man "in that she stabbed him multiple times with a knife."
Wood Dale Deputy Police Chief Mike Rivas said the victim's wounds were not deep and ended up needing only a few stitches or staples.
Prosecutors said the victim was released from the hospital Monday.
