Local Montessori students enjoy a snowy Easter egg hunt

For the students of Northwest Suburban Montessori School in Arlington Heights, the Easter Bunny was perhaps more of an Arctic Hare this year. Despite the blustery and snowy conditions, the students had a wonderful time celebrating Spring and meeting the Easter Bunny at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum on Sunday during the annual NSMS Easter Egg Hunt.

Event coordinators took advantage of an indoor option at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum and the egg hunt was held in the 1880's Coach House, among the historical dioramas and exhibits. The Easter Bunny made a special appearance and students were given sweet treats while parents warmed up with hot coffee at the adjacent Usborne Book Fair, which benefited NSMS.

NSMS Social Chair Erika Cutlip said "It was standing room only for the book fair and egg hunt, despite the snow storm. A true reflection of the unwavering support from the NSMS families. The weather added a beautiful white landscape for the children to hop in the snow and hunt for eggs." The Easter Egg Hunt is one of many annual events coordinated by the NSMS Board and is always a student and parent favorite
