Glen Ellyn Park District seeks Citizens' Finance Committee members

Glen Ellyn Park District is seeking volunteers to serve on the Citizens' Finance Committee, which reviews aspects of the district's finances and budget to help guide the board's future decision making.

Applications are due no later than Friday, May 31, 2019, and interviews will be scheduled in subsequent weeks.

Applicants must be residents of the Glen Ellyn Park District and able to attend 4-6 meetings a year.

Meetings are most often held weekday mornings prior to standard work shifts or early evenings Monday to Thursday at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center.

Interested community members should submit a resume to Nick Cinquegrani, Glen Ellyn Park District, 185 Spring Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, or by email to ncinquegrani@gepark.org.

Preference will be given to applicants with a background in finance, accounting or business. Some experience and knowledge of the Glen Ellyn Park District is welcomed.

The Glen Ellyn Park District board approved the formation of the 7- to 9-member Citizens' Finance Committee in 2011.

In addition to helping develop long-range financial plans, the committee may also be assigned special projects such as analyzing an asset replacement schedule or a future capital project.
