Cary-Grove students can apply for Haley Lichter Memorial Scholarship

Are you a four-year college bound Cary-Grove High School student? Are you active in athletics and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or greater?

If so, hurry up and apply for the Haley Lichter Memorial Scholarship!

The Haley Lichter Memorial Scholarship is intended to provide educational assistance to two eligible Cary-Grove High School senior students.

The scholarship has been developed in honor of Haley Lichter, a former Cary-Grove High School graduate who passed away in 2015 following a long and difficult battle with an aggressive, rare form of brain cancer, Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma Grade 3.

Scholarship eligibility requirements have been expanded this year so don't wait to apply!

The application deadline is April 30.

All applications can be found at www.heroeslikehaley.org and must be emailed to Scholarship@HeroesLikeHaley.org.

Winners will be contacted via email and announced via social media on May 31.

Checks will be presented on July 14 at the fifth annual Heroes Like Haley 5K held at Cary-Grove Park, next to the high school. To sign up for the 5K, visit www.heroeslikehaley.org/2019hlh5k.

Founded in 2015, Heroes Like Haley is an Illinois based 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The board of directors is dedicated to providing financial support and improving the quality of life for local pediatric cancer patients, survivors and families. Raising community awareness toward pediatric brain cancer and implementing college scholarships for Cary-Grove High School students.
