Kane County Master Gardener Help Desk now open

Kane County Master Gardener Help Desk is open for business.

Each growing season, trained University of Illinois Extension volunteers field community questions on trees, shrubs, lawns, flowers, vegetables and other plant-related topics.

From April to September, the Master Gardener services are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each weekday.

"Weather, lawn care, spring blooms, and starting vegetable seeds indoors are popular topics this time of year with the Help Desk," said Program Coordinator Sarah Fellerer.

"Master Gardeners can advise on what needs to be done in gardens and yards each season, including questions about pruning, soil sampling, disease control and prevention, project planning and much more."
