ECC candidate has record of service, success

I am endorsing Nazneen Hashmi for Elgin Community College board of trustees; I have had the privilege to know and work with her in our community of Streamwood. She is a community advocate, she believes in education; is a part-time college educator at IIT. She understands the inner workings of colleges. She works in the business world, so she understands the financial constraints to budget wisely. She was influential in having ECC and IIT go into a joint venture. She supports diversity in educational institutions providing educational opportunities for all residents. She has served on the Board of the Golden Corridor YMCA since 2013 and the Streamwood Community Relations Commission for over a decade.

Nazneen's daughter attended ECC, so she understands the concerns that parents have about their children getting a solid education. Today, more than ever we need people who have forward thinking vision for our student's future collegiate choices. Nazneen is that person who we need to elect to represent all people in the community.
