Local Bistro Hey Nonny Updates Seasonal Menu
Local bistro and emerging neighborhood favorite, Hey Nonny, announced the release of its newest menu. Chef Jay Ruff creates a new menu regularly that features seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers.
The updated menu features new entrées, including a Berkshire pork chop with ancho chili and roasted butternut squash, pan fried walleye with parsnips and roasted purple potatoes, and an airline chicken served with lemon risotto.
"Airline chicken is a special cut of boneless chicken breast with the meaty part of the wing still attached," said Chef Ruff. "Some people say it makes the chicken look like an airplane, but really it is a recipe from long ago when airlines served great food."
The new Hey Nonny menu also features a vegetarian entrée, and a new oxtail arancini appetizer. Hey Nonny will continue to enhance this menu with its creative cocktails-named after local landmarks and community leaders-made with spirits from local distilleries.
"The convenient location in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights is what draws a lot of locals into our bistro and music venue," said Chip Brooks, co-owner of Hey Nonny. "But the continually changing, imaginative dishes bring people back in. If you haven't stopped by in a few months, we have some great new menu options for you to try."
The new menu is currently available at Hey Nonny and can be found online at heynonny.com/food-drink.
