Local School Gives Back to Community
On Friday, Feb. 22, members of the National Junior Honor Society at Spring Wood Middle School organized an event to give back to their community.
Joline Nekyha, NJHS coordinator, thought up the idea of "Soup For Superheros."
The name of the event was mean to honor the local police officers and staff of Spring Wood Middle School, who are the "superheroes" for providing their dedication and time to the community.
Students of the National Junior Honor Society served these "Superheroes" soup and handed out thank you gifts to show their gratitude for what they do in our community.
The students hope to make "Soup for Superheros" an annual event at this Keeneyville Elementary District 20 school.
