Women in the Know Hosts Luck Be A Lady Tonight Benefit

LAKE FOREST, IL (March 8, 2019) - Women in the Know (WINK), a 501(c) 3 with a mission of raising awareness and funds for NPO's making an impact in the lives of women and children, is proud to host its 2nd Annual Benefit. "Luck Be a Lady Tonight" will be held on International Women's Day, Friday, March 8th from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Lake Forest Club, benefitting Bridge to Success and Guitars over Guns (missions can be found below).

This chic yet casual evening of food, fun and fundraising will bring some 250 attendees to the Lake Forest Club to try their luck at a variety of entertaining games and bag raffles including the Treasure Chest Key Challenge, Wine Cork Pull, Heads or Tails, Golden Ticket Game, Mystery Handbag Game, Spin-the-Wheel, and more!

"Hosting this event on International Women's Day is just icing on the cake. A day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women is the perfect day to highlight how and why we, as women, can (and do!) change the world, one cause, one organization, one family, or one child, at a time," says Amie Marks, founder of Women in the Know. "The event beneficiaries are two organizations who we feel are best using resources to serve and support women and children in Chicagoland, and are full of dedicated individuals, strong visions, and proven processes, and we are excited to do our part to help."

Susan Plumer, Bridge to Success Board Member is honored and excited that Women in the Know has chosen Bridge to Success as their Luck Be A Lady Tonight beneficiary stating, "I have been involved with Women in the Know since it's inception and am a big believer in their mission to create a forum for women to discuss timely topics and world events. Amie Marks has an amazing vision and strong compassion for what she does. By gathering strong women that want to make a difference, she has created a platform that is unstoppable."

Women in the Know has grown from its original mission to give women a voice in today's timely topics, to a larger mission of also creating a platform to facilitate women becoming more engaged and active members of their communities. "The women wanted to turn their words and discussions into action to help in-need or at-risk women and children," says Marks. "Our second annual benefit is one way we are accomplishing that desire, and I couldn't be prouder of what we are able to do."

Tickets are available for $25 pre-event, $35 at the door, and include live music by The Shades, heavy hors-d'oeuvres, dessert, a signature cocktail, and first game chip. Additional game chips and cash bar available. Tickets are available by emailing Melissa.Dennis-Araujo@RaymondJames.com or calling (708) 524-9374.
