Lisle cops investigating death of man found in woods
Lisle police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man found Dec. 26 in a wooded area.
Police say an ATV rider discovered the body of Shawn Temple around 1:45 p.m. while riding in an area south of the intersection of Warrenville Road and White Birch Drive.
"It is a couple of acres of grassy and tree filled land," Deputy Chief Ron Wilke said. "No one would have seen him without going through the area, so fortunately someone was riding their ATV out there."
Temple had previous addresses in Chicago and Roselle, according to police. Wilke said Temple appears to have been homeless after recently living with a woman in Lisle.
The DuPage County Coroner's office was notified and assisted with the investigation. The autopsy found no signs of trauma. Toxicology tests were conducted, but results are not yet available.
