Generations support Huntley church

Trinity Lutheran Church, established on land donated by village founder Thomas Huntley, shares its founding year, 1871, with the Great Chicago Fire.

Today's members include both newcomers and up to the fifth generation of families who have worshipped here. The church built its current sanctuary in 1958 and its preschool in 1993.

In 2019, a campaign is underway to begin expanding the building by 6,500 square feet to allow 70 percent more usable space for members, staff, visitors and community groups.

Pastor Robert Hoffman and church leaders invite all to "Try Trinity" at services on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 8 and 10:30 a.m.
