Queen of the Rosary School Welcomes Santa

On Sunday, December 2, the first Sunday in Advent, Santa made his annual stop at Queen of the Rosary School, spreading holiday cheer and joy. Children outfitted in Christmas pjs, or holiday sweaters and dresses, brought a non-perishable food item for the annual opportunity to chat with Santa, enjoy a Christmas treat, and have their picture taken.

Pictures with Santa, an annual event organized by the school's Parent Club, is just one event to celebrate the Advent and Christmas season. On Thursday, December 6, students and staff will enjoy a treat left by St. Nicholas, and on December 10 and 11, students will Christmas shop at the school's annual Santa Shoppe. Parent Club provides the school with a variety of family-oriented activities and an added avenue of funds that provide extras for the children.

On the third Thursday of each month, the Elk Grove school under the direction of Student Council collects food and paper goods that are delivered to the Elk Grove Food Pantry.

Queen of the Rosary School serves students in preschool through grade eight. For more information please call 847-437-3322 or visit www.qrschool.org.
