Prince of Peace UMC Advent Happenings
Prince of Peace UMC welcomes all to join the church in celebrating the Advent season. December 9th at 9:30 am the children and youth of Prince of Peace will present the Wild West Christmas, sharing with the congregation their version of the Christmas story. A special offering will be received as a birthday gift for Jesus. Each attendee is encouraged to give $1.00 for each year of their age!
On December 16th the Prince of Peace Chancel Choir and the popAlive Band will provide a special musical presentation celebrating the Christmas season during the 9:30 am worship service.
On December 9, 16 and 23 an Advent Study will take place immediately following the 9:30 am service. The study will assist us in reflecting on the unbreakable gifts that God has given us: hope, love, joy and peace, and the greatest gift of all-Jesus. We will be challenged to rethink the gifts we ask for and give at this time.
The December 23 9:30 am worship service focuses on Mary's visit to Elizabeth as Mary's affirmation that they were blessed by God. We too are often blessed in unexpected ways and are called to be blessings to others.
A special Christmas Eve candlelight service with Holy Communion will be held on December 24 at 8pm. Join us as we celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus with wonderful music and a special message from Pastor Cerna Castro Rand.
